Taking a look at browser differences...

The below examples show the same page loaded in 6 different Web browsers. You'll notice when the page is loaded in Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, the differences aren't shockingly obvious, but comparing the page loaded in those three browsers to Microsoft's Internet Explorer is where you'll notice some rather significant (and unattractive) differences (*cough* IE8 *cough*). There's really only a few different styles and technologies that are being used on this relatively simple page that make it look the way it does, but as you can see, just viewing a page in a different browser can really change how it looks. This is because not all browsers support all of the same technologies, so if you want to enjoy the Web in all its glory, it's best to choose your browser carefully.
