….and replaced it with a MUCH better one! That someone was us. And boy was it about time.
New Identity
We’re ushering in 2014 with a much needed, much loved, new identity. We’re absolutely thrilled about 2013 and what it has brought us (did we mention a new identity?) – we celebrated our 5th Birthday in May, our 2nd year in our quaint, Harrison, Ohio location, lots of new clients big and small, the return of old clients (we love you, too!), among many other exciting changes.
Today, though, we’re going to talk about our new face-lift. It’s a whole new design from the ground up and it’s a much more professional, simple layout that eliminates the clutter and, together with our new slogan, focuses on what we do best. In our logo, you’ll notice the rounded cubes are a significant part of the design that you’ll see used in many ways as we adapt our collateral to our new logo and identity. This is the fun part. We specifically wanted something with that quality – something that we can pick apart a little bit, and use in different situations. The cubes also represent two of the four pillars of our company. They were originally designed loosely based on keys of a keyboard, depicting the Technology branch of our company, then they were tweaked a bit, arranged into a bit of a ‘floating’ array to also symbolize pixels – representing the digital services we provide. We touched on the new slogan earlier, and how the old one needed to join our old logo in the archives. In case you didn’t know, it was “one company for all of your IT needs”. Since we’re revamping our services, our target market, and how we’re marketing ourselves, we needed something new – we do much more now than just IT.
I know what you’re thinking…”But your website is still so last decade”. Why isn’t it getting a face-lift along with the rest of our identity? Well, in short, we’re busy as crap. We’ve always been a company that devotes more to our customers than to ourselves, so that’s obviously not changed. But, soon I’ll be posting about some new, exciting projects that we’re working on and you’ll quickly understand. That being said, 2014 will ABSOLUTELY bring a vastly new, modern, and exciting web presence along with it. Mark my words!
Our newness is debuting all over the web (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, our blog, CitySearch, etc.) this week, so be sure to check it out in all its glory!
Web Central
We’ve also completely re-branded our web services online store. Come one, come all to the new Web Central (formerly The Works IT – Domains and More)! We’ve been wanting to rename it for some time and planned to do it alongside our main company re-brand in a no-holds-barred, all-out, re-branding frenzy like never before seen by the likes of the Interwebz (Disclaimer: that is exaggeration). So it’s out with Domains and More and in with Web Central. We wanted to portray the online store’s purpose in the name, but not in such a bland, obvious fashion. We think it’s a solid upgrade.
Please share your comments on the new look below and stay tuned in early 2014 to hear about lots (even more?!) of new happenings inside The Works IT.
